Garth’s Auctions Sale for Kennedy Family Photographer, the late Bob Davidoff
Published June 2nd, 2009
Garth’s Auctions of Delaware, Ohio is proud to announce that in the fall of 2009, it will present over 200 photographs which captured three generations of the Kennedy families at ease and at play while at the “Winter White House” during President John F. Kennedy’s administration through the eventual sale of the Palm Beach home.
A freelance photographer for United Press International, Davidoff first photographed then President-elect John F. Kennedy along side President Herbert Hoover and Ambassador Joseph Kennedy during a party for Hoover in Palm Beach. However, it wasn’t until Davidoff later met Rose Kennedy that he was invited by the matriarch to become a true family intimate capturing photos destined to be part of the family’s personal archives.
Garth’s will also feature other presidential material of note in this landmark sale and will provide more information in the coming months. For information on consigning your piece of historic presidential memorabilia, contact Garth’s Auctions’ appraisers, Jeff Jeffers or Andrew Richmond, at 740.362.4771 or via email at info@garths.com.
