Over 650 lots of investment-grade assets will be sold in an auction slated for Saturday, March 14, 2009 beginning at 12PM PST. This auction will feature the finest in rare and gold coins, currency, Asian antiques and collectibles, jewelry, gemstones, timepieces and high-end personal accoutrements.
Among highlights, this auction will feature:
• over 160 gemstone lots including rare Ouro Preto Imperial Topaz and high grade appraised Colombian Emeralds as well as many affordable, high grade cut and rough gemstones;
• over 300 coin and currency lots ranging from highly collectible and affordable scarce items to a rare 1916-D Mercury dime, a rare variety 1818 high grade large cent or numerous high grade gold pieces;
• over 60 lots of Asian antiques, collectibles and decorative art including an array of recently acquired bronzes, Tibetan ritual pieces, pre-ban ivory carvings, 318,000 carats of sculptured jade depicting Kwan Yin in a forest setting, and an old-growth teak mortar delicately carved with lace details;
• numerous timepieces, including a near mint vintage Rolex GMT Master II Stainless men’s watch and a new limited edition (only 206 pieces exist) Van Cleef & Arpels men’s 18K gold/alligator band watch with diamond accents;
