Clarke’s Sixth Fine Art Auction on May 4, 2009, is expected to be its strongest to date. The ten-year old Larchmont company was confident based on its successful Fifth Fine Art Auction, which flew in the face of a rocky outlook for the fine art market. However, the depth and breadth of its American and International inventory for May, including many works with exhibition histories and of distinguished provenance, has now been strenghtened further by the addition of 35 works from a private collection of Rockport paintings.
