Wings, badges, patches and more – all items up for bid in a special Commercial Aviation Wings and Memorabilia hosted by Manion’s International House on their online auction website: www.manions.com.

“Aviation related items are very desirable,” said Manion’s representative John Conway. “Since man first took to the sky, the tools of the trade have been compiled in collections.”

Items from this special auction are currently up for bid on www.manions.com, with the auction closing December 28, 2008 at 8:30 p.m. CST. Manion’s International has been brokering the sale of historic collectibles, with an emphasis on military related items, since 1970.

“While we mainly deal in militaria, we sell a great deal of other collectibles,” said Conway. “This special commercial aviation related auction is a perfect example of the diversity of material we offer.”

Aviation auctions have been a recent forté of the online auction company. In addition to the Aviation Wings and Memorabilia Special Auction, Manion’s is concurrently brokering the sale of the Harry C. Block Jr. aviation archives.

Since a young age Mr. Block corresponded with aviation pioneers, requesting a memento from their pursuit of flight. In the process he amassed thousands of artifacts from actual pieces of pioneering aircraft to autographed books and papers. This auction will close on December 29, 2008 at 8:30 p.m. CST.

“This will be our fourth special auction featuring items from the Harry Block collection,” said Conway. “This offering consists of hundreds of signed books chronicling aspects of the history of flight.”
