PRWAuctions.com Pop Culture Auction
Published October 19th, 2008
700 lots of Rock N Roll and Hollywood Memorabilia will be sold at auction on Oct 26th.
Beatles Memorabilia includes a First State Mono “Yesterday and Today” album with the famous Butcher Cover in mint condition. This record was released in 1965 and almost immediately pulled off store shelves as store owners rejected the “gruesome” cover of the boys in bloodied smocks holding hunks of meat and doll parts. The records were almost all returned and a safe image of the four mop tops sitting around an old antique trunk was pasted over the gory butcher scene.
Also included in the auction will be other records, posters, magazines, autographs and memorabilia including a 1964 Talcum Tin and a rare Vox Instruments Promo Poster.
The auction will be at the auction gallery at 1 Neil Court in Oceanside, Long Island, New York Bidding is accepted in person in the audience, on the phone, on ebaylive and LiveAuctioneers.com.
