Texas Beach-Front Property to be Auctioned
Published October 1st, 2008
A 6-acre, sprawling undeveloped piece of gulf front property in South Padre Island will go on the auction block this October 30th. The property, located on the north end of the island, is the last large piece of undeveloped property with utilities available on the island.
“This piece of land means so much to the people in South Padre Island,” says property owner Robbie Browning, “It’s located in a prime spot — close to the South Padre Island Convention Center and right across the street from the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center and the Sea Turtle Rescue Center.”
The property has an uninterrupted bay and gulf view and 200 feet of beach frontage with a concrete retaining wall that also borders the south end of the property. Setback requirements and zoning regulations are flexible so 95% of the property can be used.
Browning adds, “There are so many different ways this property can be developed. It’s the perfect location for a hotel or condominiums, time shares, single family homes, or even a large, Texas-size home. This part of the island, the north end, with its beautiful beaches and water, is home to other new, luxury developments.”
The auction, hosted by Tranzon VenueBid, will take place at 12:00PM (central time) on October 30, 2008 at the La Quinta Inn and Suites, SPI Beach Resort, 7000 Padre Boulevard, South Padre Island, Texas. The property can be sold individually as a 6-acre tract or as two, separate 3-acre tracts. Potential buyers must meet a minimum bid of $4,750,000 if they are interested in the entire piece of property and $3,000,000 if they want to bid on one of two 3-acre tracts. For auction information, contact Kelly Toney of Tranzon VenueBid at 877-824-7653.
