New Jersey Waterfowl Hunting Property Auction

On October 5, the Sora Gun Club and its historic Cumberland County hunting property will be sold to the highest bidder, regardless of price and with no minimum reserve. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Ducks Unlimited.
The 454 +/- acre property, currently owned by Ducks Unlimited, was previously owned by the Sora Gun Club, a New Jersey corporation that was formed in 1915, and used as hunting and fishing grounds by the club’s members. The Sora Gun Club’s wetland property, which is bordered by the Cohansey River, is habitat for sora (Porzana Carolina) the most widespread rail bird in North America.
he Sora Gun Club auction will be conducted by United Country – Absolute Auctions & Realty, Inc. during a multi-property auction event that will take place at the Absolute Auction Center, 45 South Ave., Pleasant Valley, N.Y., at 1:11 p.m. on Sunday, October 5.
The winning bidder will take ownership of the Sora Gun Club Corporation, consisting of four shares of stock with 100 percent interest in the 454 +/- acre recreational/hunting/fishing property.
