Contemporary Design Auction Takes $1.1 Million

Christie´s first ever auction of works by contemporary designers, held in New York, has raised a total of 1.1 million dollars. The auction, in which 21 out of 30 batches were sold, contained pieces by contemporary designers like Marc Newson, Forrest Myers, Zaha Hadid, Ron Arad, Maarten Baas, Shiro Kuramata, Ettore Sottsass and Harush Shlomo.
