Clarke will conduct its final auction of the Summer 2008 season at 6:00 pm on Monday August 25.
Antiques are highlighted by an early wood putto, an Empire claw foot pedestal drop-leaf table, two Davenport desks, a 19th C. demilune flip-top table, pairs of Empire bronze figures and figural 4 arm candelabra, a bronze piano lamp with eagle, a 19th C. sleigh bed and more.
Exceptional items include a classical life-sized bronze helmet, a 19th C. signed telescope, and artist-signed porcelain plaques after Old Masters.
Fine art includes a pair of Swiss landscapes, Danish oils, signed Finnish bronze medallions, box lots of oil paintings, an early English portrait on panel, a c.1860 lithograph after Audubon, 19th C. copies of Old Masters, bronze sculptures and more.
