Cape Cod and Islands License Plate Auction Results

The Massachusetts State Registry of Motor Vehicles online auction for the 999 lowest-numbered plates, started on July 8. The auction for the first 100 numbers and the triple-digit repeat plates (111, 222, 333, etc.) closed Friday night. The highest winning bid was $147,000.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit several non-profit organizations on Cape Cod.
