Tampa Unclaimed Property Auction Aug 2

The Chief Financial Officer of the State of Florida holds unclaimed property accounts valued at more than $1 billion, mostly from dormant accounts in financial institutions, insurance and utility companies, securities and trust holdings.

In addition to money and securities, unclaimed property includes tangible property such as watches, jewelry, coins, currency, stamps, historical items and other miscellaneous articles from abandoned safe deposit boxes.

The preview will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa. The auction will be held Saturday, August 2 from 10:00 a.m. until all of the items are sold.

Lots include:

A Platinum Brooch laden with 163 Old European Cut Diamonds (estimated total 10 Carats).

A pair of Platinum and Gold Earrings, each bearing a huge 3 Carat European Cut Diamond;
A 100-ounce Bar of .999 Fine Silver.

A collection of 13 Gold Coins, 1915 Australian Restrike (100 Coronoas), each weighing approximately 33.8 Gold grams.

An elegant 14 Karat White and Yellow Gold Rolex Watch.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit Florida’s public school children.
