New Website Gives Americans Opportunity to Buy and Sell Guns Online

FORT WORTH, Texas - Cheaper Than Dirt, has today locked and loaded a free public buy-sell auction and classifieds marketplace on a new website that is allowing Americans the opportunity to legally purchase and sell firearms, firearm accessories and more online like never before.

At http://www.CheaperThanDirt.com, the public is invited to buy, sell and trade guns, knives, ammunition, gun accessories, outdoor gear and other items at no charge in the new FreeAds section. Company officials say it is filling a void in the market, as giants such as eBay and craigslist do not accept these type of postings, plus FreeAds does not charge any fees to buyers and sellers. The auction-classified ads are completely free; no listing fees, no commissions and no hidden costs. The site is also free of pop up ads and other paid advertising.

Already at introduction, the FreeAds section of the website is featuring thousands of offerings, ranging from one dollar items to a rare Colt 1861 Navy antique pistol for more than $100,000. The current selection of rifles, pistols, collector firearms, hunting arms and even legal machine guns listed on FreeAds is more than $5,000,000, and there is also a million dollar inventory of rifle scopes.

“Most ‘gun people’ have things they want to sell; a holster from a handgun trade long ago, ammo in a caliber they don’t shoot anymore, and even a firearm. We wanted to offer a one stop shop where they could buy, sell and trade and not feel like a criminal, and not pay any commissions or listing fees,” said Michael Tenny, founder of Cheaper Than Dirt and architect of the breakthrough web service.

Tenny is confident that they have created “the Camelot” for America’s shooting and hunting enthusiasts, and the web marketplace will be used by millions. In addition to buying and selling, the website is a wealth of information for the gun community. A national roster of all gun shows, a listing of all gun stores in the U.S., every gun range, gun club and shooting events nationally will be on the website. A listing of every ammunition caliber, and the internet’s most extensive listing of every make, model and descriptive terms of firearms in the past century are also on the website, http://www.CheaperThanDirt.com, as are hundreds of firearm related articles.
