Idaho and Western US Auctions Booming
Published July 15th, 2008
Alan Armstrong, President of three auction firms has announced that auctions in Idaho and the Western US are experiencing a tremendous boom in business this year. His firms and many of his fellow auctioneers have reported increased business. There is increased demand for estate liquidations, business liquidations and real estate auctions in Idaho and most other western states.
Armstrong states, “Business has been steadily improving year over year and now month over month. Prices seem to be remaining strong overall as well. We don’t see much hint of a recession in our local businesses like the rest of the market keeps talking about. In fact we are encouraging sellers to sell while prices seem to be holding fairly steady. Who knows which way the markets will turn in the future. After seventeen years of this and talking to some old timers that have been around even longer, we’ve all seen markets go both ways quite often.”
