Top auctioneers and ring people from the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom came together earlier this month to compete in the 20th Annual World Auction Auctioneers Championship at DAA Northwest.
Paul Behr, of the National Auto Auctioneers Association, announced the winners as:
—Champion: Danny Schorno, of Yelm, Wash.
—Top Ring Person: Phil Gee, of Shelby, N.C.
—Team Selling Champions: Casey Enlow, of Sapula, Okla., and Tim “Bandy” Assiter, of Red Oak, Texas.
—Reserve Champion: Charles Adcock, a third generation auctioneer from Netwton, Pa.
Champion Schorno, who works various sales, including DAA Northwest, took home the top trophy and a check for $15,000.

“Winning the championship was a dream come true,” said Schorno, who placed second in last year’s competition. “And it was really special to have it happen here in Spokane with my family and closest friends around me.”
