R.E.M. Signed Guitar for Fundraising Auction

Savannah based Gretsch Guitars has a foundation that donates guitars that are decorated by artists or signed by musicians and then sold to raise funds for music and arts education programs. Because Gretsch CEO Fred Gretsch believes in “Enriching lives through participation in music,” the Gretsch Foundation has generously donated a new hollow body style Brian Setzer Model Gretsch Nashville guitar to AthFest.

This guitar was originally built in 2000 and has been held in the Gretsch foundation’s collection. The Gretsch Nashville model guitar was first built in 1954 in collaboration with Chet Atkins and has been offered in many deluxe versions over the years.

AthFest, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The mission of AthFest is to educate citizens and visitors about the music and arts scene of Athens, GA. Since 1997, AthFest has organized an annual festival to showcase the incredible musicians, artists, businesses and residents of the Athens community.
