Happy Hollow Park & Zoo Auction

Published June 13th, 2008

San Jose’s Happy Hollow Park & Zoo auction raised more than $92,000.

Proceeds from the auction will go toward purchasing items for the new-and-improved Happy Hollow that will emerge in fall 2009 after a massive face-lift. The popular park, which opened in 1961, will close July 9 as construction enters the next phase. The Frontier Village theme park, which was located in San Jose’s Edenvale neighborhood, closed in 1980.
