Wild West Museum Artifacts to be re-auctioned

Published June 9th, 2008

Artifacts bought by Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed for a planned Wild West Museum will go up for auction again in Texas.

Reed collected more than 10,000 artifacts, spending about $7.5 million of public money for the museum that never opened.

Last November, the city raised $1.5 million at an auction.

Items to be sold this time include photographs, maps and other documents.
