A life preserver from the Titanic is up for auction on June 25 at Christie’s in Manhattan.
Christie’s auction house says it is the first one to be offered at auction in the United States and is expected to fetch $60,000 to $80,000.
The vest was found during the initial recovery effort following the April 14, 1912, disaster.
Another Titanic life preserver was sold for $119,000 at Christie’s in London last year.
