Gulf Coast Chinese American Association art auction to benefit victims of China quake

Published May 29th, 2008

The Gulf Coast Chinese American Association is asking local residents to open their hearts — and wallets — for victims of the May 12 earthquake that devastated the Sichuan province of southwestern China.

The association, along with the University of West Florida Florida-China Linkage Institute, is sponsoring a “China Earthquake Relief” art auction and charity sale Saturday at the UWF Commons Auditorium.

A selection of fine art, including paintings by local artists, Chinese crafts and jewelry will be available for purchase and bidding. All proceeds will be donated to the China Earthquake Relief Fund.
