James Coburn Ferrari 250 GT Makes £5.5million at Auction

Broadcaster Chris Evans has set a world price record when he paid £5.5 million, for a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, at RM Auctions’ second annual “Ferrari Leggenda e Passione” event in Maranello.
The auction house said he made a successful bid of £5,089,280, including buyer’s premium, for the car, which will take pride of place in his collection.
The dark blue car used to belong to Hollywood actor James Coburn, he sold the car in 1987 and it has had a number of private owners since.
