Baltimore Coin Auction June 4-7

Bowers and Merena will hold an auction on June 4-7 sale at the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention.
A high-grade 1854 Type 2 gold dollar and a mint state 1920-S Saint-Gaudens $20 gold piece lead a list of highlights. he gold dollar is graded MS-68 by Numismatic Guaranty Corp. Sale catalogers said it is tied for finest known with one other 1854 Type 2 gold dollar certified MS-68 by NGC.
The 1920-S double eagle, called a condition rarity by catalogers, is graded NGC MS-63.
The auction, to be held at the Baltimore Convention Center as the official auction of the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention, will hold more than 3,000 coin and paper money lots.
A further sale highlight is an 1801 Capped Bust $10 gold piece graded MS-64 by Professional Coin Grading Service.
he B&M sale will also offer U.S. paper money, including a serial No. 1 1901 $10 “Bison” Legal Tender Note, Friedberg 114, graded Very Fine-30 PPQ by PCGS Currency; as well as a 1923 $5 Silver Certificate star note, Fr. 282, in PCGS Superb Gem New-67 PPQ.
