Published March 5th, 2008

The comic strips and signed Charlie Brown doodles will be on the auction block at Skinner Inc., in Boston tomorrow afternoon as part of its American and European Paintings and Prints sale. The 19 drawings by Charles Schulz will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston and the New England Wildlife Center.

The rare images, many of which are autographed, belonged to late CBS president Dr. Frank Stanton, a close friend of Schulz.

Estimates for the Peanuts pictures, including advertising and color separation proofs and strips on cardstock, range from $150 to $25,000.
