Heritage Auction sues Hollywood memorabilia dealers

Published February 15th, 2008

Heritage Auction Galleries has filed a lawsuit against two dealers of Hollywood memorabilia, claiming items it sold for the pair were bogus.

Filed Wednesday in Dallas County district court, the lawsuit alleges that John A. Tarter and Billie Hugh Null, partners in L.A. Prop and Wardrobe Co., misrepresented the authenticity of a whiskey flask, engraved cigarette case and 20 objects auctioned last year as the Ann Sothern Collection.

Heritage has offered refunds, including interest, to the 11 people it says paid $35,000 for the 22 items last April.
