Fedders to Auction Manufacturing Unit

Fedders Corp. won bankruptcy court permission to put its commercial heating and cooling systems manufacturing unit on the auction block next week with a leading bid of $14.4 million in cash lined up.
Judge Brendan L. Shannon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington on Monday approved Fedders’ request to sell its Addison unit. He also approved the leading bid from Roberts-Gordon LLC, a Buffalo, N.Y.-based heating systems manufacturer.
