Auctions benefit cancer programs

Members of 2008 Team Livestrong will raise money to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation with a live and silent auction Saturday at The Wild Dingo, 3828 100th St. in Urbandale.
The auction, from 7 p.m. to midnight, will feature condominium packages, Iowa Cubs baseball collectibles, a variety of gift baskets, quilts and various framed photo and art pieces.
Since its inception in 1997, the Lance Armstrong Foundation has awarded more than $29 million to cancer survivorship programs and research.
