The Strong National Museum of Play auctioned off more than a $1 million worth of artifacts in New York City on Tuesday.
The museum says the pieces were no longer important to its mission and the money will buy new collections.
The museum netted about $1.7 million the auction. Strong says the money from the auction goes back to acquiring new things for its collection, and its mission of having play-related toys, dolls and games.
