Scottsdale’s premier automobile auction house has moved into a new headquarters in the Scottsdale Airpark.

The Barrett-Jackson Auction Co., founded in Scottsdale in 1971, moved in last month to a 17,000-square-foot building at 7400 E. Monte Cristo Ave.

Barrett-Jackson bought the office-warehouse building about a year ago for $3.7 million, company Chairman Craig Jackson said.

Barrett-Jackson, which now has collector car auctions in Scottsdale; Palm Beach, Fla.; and, starting next year, Las Vegas, outgrew its south Scottsdale showroom and offices at 3020 N. Scottsdale Road.
