Rainbow City online real estate auction reports record 3Q

Rainbow City’s RealtyBid.com reported record third quarter numbers for its online real estate auction Web site.
The company said it had more than 4,000 homes listed for auction on its Web site in the third quarter. That’s a 136 percent increase over the number listed in the third quarter of 2006.
It also reported that the number of homes sold on its site increased by 145 percent in the third quarter, compared to the same period last year.
The company provides online real estate auctions and accelerated marketing programs for sellers, agents, builders and financial institutions.
Tony Isbell, RealtyBid’s president, said despite the currently difficult real estate market, the third quarter was the best the company had ever seen.
Since its founding in 2001, the site has sold more than 10,000 properties online.
