Ritchie Bros industrial equipment auction makes $45M

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers generated $45 million last week through a two-day auction of industrial equipment in Orlando that attracted buyers from as far away as Australia and sellers as far away as Puerto Rico.
Almost 2,900 construction, transportation, material handling and other industrial equipment items from more than 240 consignors were sold.
The auction attracted 1,800 registered bidders from 48 countries. The U.S. was represented by bidders from 48 states.
Among the items sold were a crawler crane, 125 wheel loaders, 190 excavators, 64 scissorlifts, 60 boom lifts and more than 60 truck tractors.
