Crow Collection brings $1.6 million at auction

An auction Saturday at the Hilton Anatole liquidated more than 500 objects from the Crow Art Partnership Collection of Fine and Decorative Art, with a painting by Crimean artist Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky bringing the top bid of more than $1.6 million.
Bidding on the 561 items began online and finished at the hotel early Saturday evening. The auction was managed by Dallas-based Heritage Galleries.
