Published August 13th, 2007
3,500 acres of land in northern and central Wisconsin are about to hit the auction block. The 51 areas are anywhere from 20 to 280 acres and will be sold by a Chicago-based real estate services firm, Sheldon Good and Company.
The company’s chief executive says about 30% of the land will be sold regardless of price but the firm is suggesting opening bids start at $10,000. The company says the land can be used for hunting, recreation or rural residences.
The areas of land are located in counties throughout the state including Clark, Eau Claire, Monroe, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Washburn and Wood counties.
