The weekend auction of 15 rare cars collected over several decades by local developer Richard Solove raised $14.3 million for cancer research at Ohio State University.

Antiquorum Auctioneers, one of the world’s leading watch auctioneers, has ousted its CEO and Chairman Osvaldo Patrizzi.
Antiquorum’s board voted to dismiss Mr. Patrizzi at an Aug. 2 meeting. John Tsukahara, an executive of the Tokyo-based holding company ArtistHouse Holdings Inc., which owns 50% of Antiquorum, has been appointed as the new chairman.

A classic Ferrari once owned by actor Steve McQueen sold for $2.31 million (€1.72 million) at auction.
An anonymous car collector who placed a bid by phone bought the 1963 Ferrari Berlinetta Lusso during an auction Thursday that drew 800 people to the Monterey Jet Center and attracted spirited bidding, said Christie’s spokesman Rik Pike.
