Judge orders auctioneer to pay for Batmobile

Published July 10th, 2007

When Klassix Auto Attraction Museum closed and auctioned off its collection of celebrity cars, an auctioneer sold a car he said was an original car used in the “Batman” TV series.

Once the fraud was discovered, the buyer returned the car for a full refund.

The auctioneer, Dean Kruse, kept the car, but never paid Klassix for it.

A judge ruled Kruse must pay back the price of the car plus interest, which could amount to nearly $380,000.
