Antique tractor collection to be sold at Yuma auction

A collection of about 900 antique tractors amassed over two decades by a Yuma man is going on sale this weekend during an auction expected to draw about 1,000 bidders.

Larry Weber collected the tractors from 1985 until his death in 2005. The oldest tractor dates back to 1907. One of the rarest is a 1941 tractor that was specially built for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Only 20 of those were made.

The auction runs from Friday through Sunday and organizers have spent the past year publicizing it.

“Collections like this just don’t come up all that often,” said Randy Collins, an auction representative with Kruse International.
