FEMA to auction hurricane damaged trailers

Published February 13th, 2007

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is putting up thousands of trailers for sale by auction, saying they are too damaged to be repaired and put back into service.

The trailers were used to house victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. FEMA says if repair estimates on each trailer exceed $1,500, the vehicles will be put up for auction at Hope Airport.
