Auction for Stamford mansion of slain developer
Published November 29th, 2006
A state Superior Court judge has ordered that an unfinished mansion of slain real estate developer Andrew Kissel be sold at auction to pay back a portion of the money he allegedly stole from financial institutions.
Judge Michael Shay yesterday ordered a home Kissel was building in Stamford to be sold by sealed bid to help pay back some of the money he received from multiple mortgages.
Shay scheduled the sale of the property for January. It has been appraised at five million dollars and includes a two million dollar unfinished house.
Kissel was found slain in his home on April Third, days before he was expected to plead guilty in federal court to massive real estate fraud.
No one has been charged with his killing.
