Jack Palance Auction Extended
Published October 15th, 2006
An auction of art and antiques belonging to Academy Award-winning actor Jack Palance has been extended for one more day. The auction is being held at the actor’s farm in Butler Township, Luzerne County.
The sale began on Thursday, October 12th and was set to end on Saturday. But, organizers said bidding was taking longer than expected, so the auction was extended until Sunday, October 15. Bidding on Sunday starts at 10 a.m. and is expected to last until mid-afternoon.
In all, some 10,000 items were on the block. As of Saturday evening, organizers said that bids had come in from as far away as Spain, and that about half of the items had been sold. Proceeds to that point were more than $500,000.
The auction is taking place at Holly-Brooke Farm near Drums. You can check out the items on the Jack Palance auction web site.
