Fairchild C-82aircraft auction

The fleet of legendary fire bomber operator Hawkins and Powers Aviation was auctioned off at Greybull, Wyoming, on August 23. The rarest aircraft to come under the hammer, Fairchild C-82 Packet N9701F, was purchased by the Hagerstown Aviation Museum in Western Maryland. The Packet is the last of its type in airworthy condition, and will soon return to Hagerstown, where 1,300 C-82s and C-119 flying Boxcars were built.
The last airworthy Fairchild C-82 Packet N9701F is now under the care of Hagerstown Aviation Museum in Western Maryland, USA.
