Jody Nelson Properties to Sell in Court-Ordered Auction

Two luxury homes, a travel center and an airport formerly owned by Patterson-UTI chief financial officer Jonathan (Jody) Nelson will be among 24 seized properties being sold at auction Sept. 28-30.

The properties, which were seized as a result of embezzlement charges against Nelson, will be sold in a series of four auctions in Lubbock, Possum Kingdom, Austin and Ruidoso, N.M., with J.P. King Auction Company managing the sales.

The properties will include:

– Two homes and three home sites in the resort town of Ruidoso, N.M. The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the Cree Meadows Country Club in Ruidoso.

– Leases on a Possum Kingdom Lake resort, two lake homes and two lakefront condominiums. The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the lodge.

– Chisum Travel center, Town & Country Airport, homes, commercial land and residential land. The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Hotel towers, Lubbock.

– Luxury Lake Travis home in a gated community in Austin. The auction will begin at 6 p.m. at the home.
