Tampa auction held for unclaimed merchandise

Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of unclaimed property went up for auction today.
People gathered at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel to view and bid on the items.
It included jewelry, coins, even rare baseball cards.
Everything comes from abandoned safe deposit boxes.

“We came down from New York, and I think we did really well. There was other people who were real aggressive, so we’ll have to see.â€
Proceeds from the auction go to the Florida School Trust Fund.
Similar auctions are held every 12 to 18 months.
