J.P. King to Sell Tenino Home and Equestrian Center at Auction June 27

Press Release

A 16-acre equestrian estate in Tenino, Wash., south of Tacoma, will sell at absolute auction on Tuesday, June 27, with J.P. King Auction Company, Gadsden, Ala., managing the sale.

Previously home to Ashanti Farms, a Dressage training center, it features a four-bedroom home, two barns with a total of 10 stalls, a large indoor arena, and 12 acres of fenced pasture, according to Craig King, president of J.P. King.

In an absolute auction, the property sells to the highest bidder, with no reserve or minimum bid. The auction will be held at 11 a.m. at the property, 7405 Churchill Road SE, Tenino. Each bidder will be required to bring a $50,000 cashier’s check to participate.

“There is a strong demand for estates where people have enough room to own and ride horses, and this property is perfectly set up for that,” said King. “Because it adjoins a federal registered wildlife preserve, it provides a degree of privacy you rarely see today, as well as ample room for riding, hiking and other outdoor sports,” said King.

The home also makes use of exotic materials, such as a roof and kitchen floor made of Jade slate imported from China, and kitchen cabinets made from a single 700-year-old English pine tree.

Individuals seeking additional information about the home may contact J.P. King at 800.558.5464 or visit the company’s web site at www.jpking.com.
