Pimped Up Golf Cart For Auction
Published June 6th, 2006
A customized, “pimped-out” golf cart that features satellite TV, a cigar humidor and an electronic beer cooler is on the auction block in Los Angeles.
The sale of the cart will benefit the Motion Picture and Television Fund, according to KCBS-TV.
The online auction, with bidding starting at $1,000, is a benefit for The Motion Picture and Television Fund and will run through June 15.
The 2002 EZ-GO golf cart was designed and built by the crew of MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” and Galpin Auto Sports. The cart is painted bright blue with yellow and orange tribal flames and includes a television screen, DVD player, white leather seats and chrome wheels.
Actor Michel Douglas drove the golf cart at a celebrity golf tournament earlier this month.
“This golf cart is a one-of-a-kind original and unlike anything I have ever seen,” Douglas said. “One lucky bidder will drive away with this pimped-out masterpiece, and also help support The Motion Picture and Television Fund.”
The winning bidder will also get a new set of Cleveland golf clubs.
More information on the auction can be found at www.mptvfund.org.
