California State to auction unclaimed jewelry watches and other valuables

The state of California has announced its annual auction of valuable unclaimed property, a two-day event that includes jewelry and watches from safe deposit and safekeeping repositories throughout the state.
The Beverly Hills Elite Auction, to be conducted by Superior Galleries, includes goods grouped into 2,105 lots.
Jewelry at auction includes multiple lots with many vintage antique, Victorian, Edwardian, art deco and art nouveau pieces. Included in the sale are estate pieces such as platinum and diamond rings, a gold ring with alexandrite, and a diamond sapphire ring.
Timepieces include a Vacheron Constantin minute repeater in 18-karat gold with stop hands and an 18-karat gold Patek Philippe Calatrava.
The auction is to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Beverly Hills, 1150 South Beverly Drive. It begins at 9 a.m. on May 25 and 26, with preview times from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 23 and May 24.
