Hampton Auctioneer wins Rose Award

Published May 2nd, 2006

Kathy Kingston, a professional auctioneer from Hampton, has been awarded the 2006 Rose Award by the National Auctioneers Association (NAA).
Kingston’s Auction Summary Report was selected from dozens of graduating students’ reports by the trustees and the admissions reviews committee. The report is a requirement for the Certified Auctioneers Institute designation, which Kingston received in March 2006. Only 3 percent of auctioneers nationwide hold this designation. Each year, only one CAI designee receives the Rose Award.

The Rose Award is named in honor of David Rose of Toledo, Ohio. Rose was a visionary leader, mentor and friend who had a tremendous impact on the Certified Auctioneers Institute Class of 1998. Rose died in the spring of 1998 after a brief illness.
