Cornell Student built solar home sold for $121,000

An award-winning solar house built by Cornell University students was sold at auction Friday for $121,000.The 16-by-40-foot house was purchased by a local buyer from Lansing, who submitted the winning bid over the Internet, said auctioneer Mel Manasse, who could not provide the buyer’s name.
Bidding started at $50,000, he said. The auction attracted more than 200 bids.
