A Lehigh County woman fraudulently took more than $51,000 for items she never delivered through the Internet auction site eBay, federal authorities announced Thursday.

Julie C. Miller, who has several addresses in Lehigh County and an address in the 2400 block of Apple Street in Lower Saucon Township, promised to deliver jewelry, rare coins, designer handbags and other items to several eBay users, authorities said. She used various addresses, screen names and accounts from November 2003 through January 2005, authorities said.

She told users shipments had been delayed due to personal or health problems, authorities said.

Miller was charged Wednesday with three counts of mail fraud. If convicted, she could face a maximum of 60 years in prison and a $750,000 fine.
