The Wood County Sheriff’s Department also made a breakthrough in another case.
And they might have found some of your belongings.
After getting a tip, authorities recovered the majority of $5,000 worth of goods stolen from the Arpin Consignment Auctions and Surplus Center on January 26th.
The property was stored at a Rudolph house by several people in that area.
When detectives raided the house, they found much more than anticipated.
“We’ve got a fairly significant amount of fishing equipment that we recovered. The problem is a lot of times people don’t report they were victims,” says Wood County Sheriff Thomas Reichert.
“We are encouraging people who were victims to contact the Wood County Sheriff’s Department or the Grand Rapids Police Department.”
Two men are now in custody for the burglaries.
They are 35 year old Daniel Joosten and his 19 year old brother in law Jared Peters.
Authorities are still looking for a third man involved.
