DiMaggio memorabilia for New York auction

More than 1,000 pieces of Joe DiMaggio memorabilia, including the New York Yankee baseball legend’s 1947 MVP Award and a set of World Series rings, will be auctioned off by his granddaughters this spring in New York, organizers said on Monday.
The Joe DiMaggio Collection, which also includes personal items from DiMaggio’s marriage to Hollywood film star Marilyn Monroe, will be auctioned on May 19-20 at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel by Hunt Auctions, Inc.
