Indiana Colts license plates auction

The bidding for Indiana Colts specialty license plates ended Thursday with more than 5,700 bids submitted.One bidder offered more than $10,000 for a plate with quarterback Peyton Manning’s number 18. The online auction for the more than 400 specialty plates ended Thursday night. State officials say the auction raised more than $104,000 for construction of the Colts’ new retractable roof stadium. The Colts plates will go on sale to the general public January third.
