Joe DiMaggio Full Uniform for auction

On December 10, 2005, Sotheby’s and SCP Auctions will offer for sale the most historically important Joe DiMaggio item in existence, his 1936 New York Yankees Home Rookie Full Uniform, one of the most significant baseball uniforms, and arguably the most significant “rookie” uniform, ever to come up for sale. Hidden away for more than seventy years, the uniform, one of only two home uniforms issued to DiMaggio for the 1936 season, is the only one still known to exist. It is expected to bring in excess of $600,000*.
